Collaborative Exhibits with Hassan Nor:
2016 - Hennepin Theatre Trust Made Here — “Dwelling” was our first collaboration in a window gallery on 7th Street, in downtown Minneapolis. This exhibit examined our separate identities in terms of birthplace and memories of youth.

2016 - Capitol Cafe, Franklin Ave, Minneapolis, MN
In this one-evening cultural presentation with author, Awes Osman, & artist, Hassan Nor - we presented and spoke about the value of art to approx 80 Somali-Americans, in a standing-room oversized gathering.
2016 - I curated an exhibit of Hassan Nor’s recent works at Third Place Gallery, Minneapolis, MN, where Adeer (Uncle) Nor spoke about his work. His daughter, Farhia, made food to share with the diverse crowd in attendance. His grand-daughter, Aishah, read her poetry.
2017 - I facilitated and assisted the artist by writing his biography and notes on his art to exhibit at Minneapolis Institute of Art in the exhibit “I am Soomaali”.
2018 - I facilitated and photographed the artist to be recognized at the “Somalis in MInnesota” exhibit at the MN History Center, St. Paul, MN.
